Bon Secours Health System Announces Karen Reich Promoted to Chief Executive Officer of Bon Secours St. Petersburg Health System

Marriottsville, MD (March 25, 2011) – Bon Secours Health System announced that Karen Reich has been promoted to chief executive officer at Bon Secours St. Petersburg Health System, St. Petersburg, Florida. Reich has served as the executive vice president of Bon Secours St. Petersburg Health System since 2007. Reich provides leadership for Maria Manor Nursing Care Center, Bon Secours St. Petersburg Home Care Services, and Bon Secours Place at St. Petersburg (an assisted living facility).

A strong operational and strategic leader, Reich is a well-regarded health care executive and advocate for senior services in the St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay community. Brother Arthur Caliman, Senior Vice President for Sponsorship, Bon Secours Health System, said, "Karen has done a terrific job leading over the past four years. Reich previously worked at Baycare Health System in the Tampa/St. Petersburg area where her 18-year tenure included leadership responsibilities for senior services, adult day health center, operational management for skilled nursing, acute and ambulatory services, Six Sigma operations improvements, case management, social services, and a variety of service specific programs and clinics. She also developed a countywide long-term care networking consortium to facilitate education and communication among providers across the continuum of care.

Reich earned her Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees in social work from The Florida State University. She has received numerous awards and is affiliated with a variety of community and professional organizations.
